Spring Synopsis: Currently renovating the hotel and restaurant, Mercey offers two private indoor baths, a big outdoor hot tub and a cool, mineral water swimming pool, with views of the Panoche Hills.

Seasonal Accessibility: Open year round.  Elevation is 1,200 feet.

Camping Availability: Camp under tall shade trees at the hot springs for $20 each per night.  RV sites with hookups are also available and several cabins are currently available, with more on the way.

Services at spring: Adult rates are $10 per day and kids cost a little less.  Punch cards are available at discounted costs for frequent soakers.  The bathhouse costs $15 per hour for a private room.

Restrictions/Permits: The bathhouse and outdoor hot tub are clothing optional areas, however guests must stay dressed outside.  Kids and pets are welcome, although must be monitored at all times.

The Spring(s): Natural hot springs emerge at 120º and are used for the hot tub, bathhouse and swimming pool.  The community hot tub is located by itself, and surrounded by spacious wooden decks and fencing.  This somewhat secluded spot is great for sunbathing and relaxing.  The 105º, 4-foot deep tub has a wooden bench that goes all the way around, offering seating for half a dozen friends.  The bathhouse offers two private baths, which can be rented by the hour.  The chlorinated swimming pool is kept between 75º – 96º, depending on the season.

Directions: Take Interstate 5 north of Fresno to the Little Panoche Road exit.  Follow this road west for about 13 miles to the resort on the right.

Additional Information: Mercey Hot Springs is a renewable energy facility, depending solely upon wind and solar power.  They are currently experimenting with many innovations that provide them with all the common luxuries, while staying completely off the grid.
