Spring Synopsis: An older hot spring resort featuring a mineral water swimming pool and an indoor whirlpool. Although Jacumba is in need of repairs and TLC, it could be a nice spot to stop and swim.
Seasonal Accessibility: Open year round. Elevation is 2,800 feet.
Camping Availability: The hotel offers 24 poolside rooms, without telephones.
Services at spring: Massage is available by appointment only, call for reservations. The restaurant is rumored to serve some of the best food around; open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the lounge stays open a little later.
Restrictions/Permits: Pools are handicap accessible. Clothing is required.
The Spring(s): Hot springs feed an indoor hot mineral tub, which is maintained at 104º degrees and is open to guests 24-hours a day. Mineral water also feeds one outdoor swimming pool, which is kept at 86º degrees. The constant flow of mineral water is never recirculated, and chlorine is never added to the water. Also available is a dry Swedish style sauna room with extra showers for day guests.
Directions: From San Diego take Interstate 8 east to the Jacumba exit. Head south to Jacumba, the resort will be on the left as you travel down Old Highway 80, the main road through town.
