Spring Synopsis: A Buddhist training center is open for just a few months a year, to visitors who come to relax, meditate and take in the waters.
Seasonal Accessibility: Open to guests from June through September. A 3-night minimum stay is required for guests who wish to participate in daily activities. Costs and services vary with participation levels. Facilities are open from 10a.m. to 9p.m.
Camping Availability: Many different types of rooms, cabins, and yurts are available for overnight guests. Rates vary from $95 and up; most rooms are rated per person, although an extra fee is charged if you stay alone (e.g. $150 each, $200 for single occupancy).
Services at spring: One telephone is available although use must be limited with 80 guests a day. A small store sells ceramics, t-shirts and emergency toiletries.
Restrictions/Permits: If you visit as a day guest, bring your own towels and food. Adult A rate are $20 per day, and kids under 12 cost less, although children are not encouraged to visit because of the tranquil nature of this retreat. There are no babysitting services or playgrounds. Please do not bring musical instruments, radios or pets.
The Spring(s): Separate men and women’s bathhouses offer private facilities for soaking and relaxation. Each bathhouse includes a tiled plunge, steam room, showers and an enclosed tub room for private baths. Clothing is not required in this area, however a suit is required at the swimming pool. Be sure to bring along a robe or large towel, it is asked that visitors remain covered on the way to the pool, in order to preserve the tranquil atmosphere.
