Spring Synopsis: Several warm ponds scattered throughout the hillside overlooking the San Luis Valley.  In addition, the swimming pool and wood fired sauna make this clothing optional resort full of fun in the sun for everyone.

Seasonal Accessibility: Closed December 1st through Christmas.  Valley View rests at 8,700 feet, so getting there could be difficult in winter, be prepared.  Pools are open from 9am to 10pm, but overnight guests may use them any time.

Camping Availability: Camping is available on site, there are some level spaces for RV’s but no hookups.  Firewood is provided, most sites have picnic tables.  Cabins, private rooms and dormitory rooms are also available for reasonable rates.

Restrictions/Permits: This clothing optional hot spring resort operates on a membership basis during weekends and holidays.  The rest of the time anyone is welcome.  Daily soaking fees for adults are $13 during the summer and $10 during winter.  Memberships are sold only during November for the following year.  Call for details.

Services at spring: Several cabins and the Oak House (communal lodging – first come first serve basis so be prepared to camp if it’s full) are available, reservations are recommended.  There is no food available at Valley View; the nearest store or restaurant is in Villa Grove.

The Spring(s): Another of several hot springs in the area that were first discovered by companies drilling for oil in the 1930’s.  Now the waters emerge to provide natural warm ponds, great for floating and cloud watching.  There are four natural pools throughout the property, an 80-foot long swimming pool in the high 80's, and a heated soaking pool.

Directions: South of Salida at the junction of U.S. Route 285 and State Route 17, go north on 285 about a quarter mile to County Road GG.  Turn east and follow Road GG for 7 miles to a cattle guard, from here the parking is only 0.4 miles further.

Nearby Attractions: Try one of the other hot springs in the area.
