Colorado River Hot Springs
Below the Hoover Dam there are several side canyons feeding the Colorado River with natural hot water. Hot springs emerge from sandy canyon floors and drip from the rocky canyon walls to create hot streams which flow down to meet the cool Colorado River. Many pools have been carved from the natural flow of the water through narrow canyons, some have been reinforced with sandbags to make deeper soaking areas. Those willing to do a little hunting will also find a natural sauna cave where hot springs emerge deep within a rock tunnel. There are secret hot waterfalls and cool swimming holes only reachable by climbing ropes up slippery canyon walls, these spots are truly left only for the bravest adventurists out there.
